Good Morning Everyone,

Trying to assist our team in locating a few good carriers who can move our direct clients loads on a regular basis;

Equipment Required: Dual Axle 53' Dry Van ONLY
No Temp Control required (okay to freeze in winter)
Palletized Freight
Need 1 hr of loading/unloading time on each end.
Shipper Hours: 8am-3pm
Receiver Hours: 8am-5pm
Weight: ~42,000

Looking for carrier options for the following lanes;

Kentwood, MI -> Toronto, ON (348 miles)
Kentwood, MI -> Ottawa, ON (588 miles)
Kentwood, MI -> Calgary, AB (1761 miles)
Kentwood, MI -> Vancouver, BC (2288 miles)

Toronto, Ottawa, Calgary lanes are 4-5 loads per week.
Vancouver lane is 4-5 loads per week, with expected increase mid-fall to 12-15 loads per week.

Looking for carrier responses only, however we may entertain a broker if the right fit and comfort level is present.

Try Pacex out of Hamilton, ON. They usually run Straights and Sprinters to and from western MI, but do send a dry van fairly frequently.

Hello, my company is an asset based carrier. We would like to reach out to discuss this opportunity. Can you message me an email contact?

We are Freight Broker. We are intrested in this oppurtunity. Let us know
Go away double brokering and admitting to wanting to do it. Get lost scumbag. This is for professional transportation companies here at IST not for scumbags to come and look to double broker shit. Eric at AB is more than capable of finding trucks on his own he was reaching out to see what trucking company members could use it not a scumbag double broker. Have a great day,,,

Perhaps KGK Freight isn’t fully aware of what Inside Transport is all about. First and I believe to be foremost, it is an educational site, not a sales site. It is an open forum where both freight brokers and carriers can ask questions, relay experiences good and bad and foster a better working environment and business practices for both entities. If somehow you develop a new customer from the site, fine, or more likely you develop a relationship with a new supplier. It is not and was never intended to be a clearing house for loads or a posting site for available trucks. If a carrier is stuck with an empty trailer somewhere, sure post it. Same with a broker with a load he is having difficulty moving. The point is….that is not what this site is designed for. Load Link, Dat and others are the place for that. One last thought on this sunny Friday afternoon, please don’t engage in double brokering but if you do, please don’t advertise it on this site. You won’t make many friends.

I know what this freight is. How the hell it ended up in the hands where it can get brokered/re-brokered is beyond me. Getting into that customer at least used to be like Fort Knox.
@theman Hehe.. its still fort knox. sent you a pm.

And just to clarify, A&B is moving loads via a carrier for our DIRECT client in Toronto, who happens to be owned by Kentwood MI, we are handling various projects and related freight. It all started from the amazing job we did for few locations in Toronto in 2010. The various Project Managers offered A&B additional opportunities for projects in Canada. As our fleet is licensed for Ontario only, we sought out partnerships with a few carriers to move theses loads on our behalf.

A&B does not and will not every DB freight.. plain and simple. If we did entertain a broker, it would be passing the lane / contact to that broker, removing A&B from the equation, as the most important thing is keeping the customer happy. If we going to decline work, we are happy to pass it onward to a firm who is capable to handling where we leave off. In the end, a happy client is a loyal client. I'd much rather keep all the local work, instead losing it all due to over extension etc.

FYI.. theses loads are covered for 2023-24 and we thanks the carriers who submitting pricing.

Perhaps the shipper has no idea what happens to his freight. Depressing to say the least.
Shipper we deal with has complete transparency. Its the way we work, no reason to hide any details at all on a project on this size, it will only bite you in the arse down the road.

Thanks but no thanks! Its been covered by an asset based carrier, no brokers required.

Didn't think it wasn't transparent. It was more that they had such a strict asset-based policy back in the day. And I think it should be ... it's a bit different if one has a captive partner working for them but this wasn't the case way back when.
