BOOKED CARRIER ON TORONTO TO CALI LOAD. UPON DELIVERY, IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF DAMAGE HAPPENED TO THE PRODUCT DURING TRANSIT. CARRIER REFUSED TO HELP FILE CLAIM, OR PROVIDE THEIR INSURANCE COMPANY THE INFO NEEDED TO INVESTIGATE THE CLAIM. THEIR INS BROKER DID THE SAME. WE HAD TO GO THE LONG WAY TO GET THE CLAIM FILED AND ALLOW INVESTIGATION TO BE DONE. CARRIER DID NOT COOPERATE OR HELP WITH CLAIM PROCESS.

THE LOAD WAS DELIVERED TO THE CONSIGNEE ON 22/JAN/21 WITH NO DAMAGE AT 1ST RECEIVER. RECEIVER UNLOADED ALL THE TRAILER AND LOADED BACK WITH DAMAGE SODA BOTTLES (LEAKING) AND WE NOTIFIED BAT THE SAME DAY. IT HAS BEEN 4 MONTHS NOW BUT HOWEVER THEY REACHED OUT TO US LAST WEEK AND INFORMED ABOUT THE CLAIM. ALL THE INFORMATION WAS GIVEN TO THE MANAGER WHEN HE INFORMED ABOUT THIS CLAIM. THERE WAS NO DAMAGES DURING THE TRANSIT. WE HAVE BEEN COOPERATING AND PROVIDING ALL THE INFORMATION THAT IS NEEDED.

We have worked with the sporadically(couple of times this month) and not had any problems.
 
never worked with them, but I'ev seen their trucks and trailers on the road in and around the GTA, if your worries about the assets.
 
Unfortunately, we just caught Gifft Double brokering one of our shipments this past Friday.
The carrier who picked up the shipment contacted us directly and we made arrangements to pay them directly. Gifft did not sell the load for a profit.
We are still investigating if this was a one-off or if it's been going on for a while now.
According to Gifft, they had a breakdown and wanted to service the lane.
Regardless, of their intentions if Gifft could not pick up, it's our problem to re-book the load, and not their call.
No Broker / Dispatcher etc is ever happy about a cancellation on the day of the pick up, personally, I will curse a little, re-book the damn load and then move on and keep doing business, but in the end if it's my load, I want the control over which properly vetted carrier is moving it

It is always a breakdown when you catch them and they act like they are doing you a favour. Ask the carrier that pulled the load when they booked the load with Gifft.

Gifft Express Inc (MC51655) lost their FMCSA carrier authorities today. They are reporting 40 trucks, and their last SMS inspection was 8/28/2024 as of today's date.

They went bankrupt @Jim L . We share some service suppliers with them, and they'ev had their assets seized. I believe we heard about it a month ago.
 
I use to give them loads in the past, they were usually GTA - MTL loads.

We had many issues with their equipment causing significant delays in the loading and transit process.

After a while we only used them if we were desperate, overall I was very disappointed with them.
 
Also looking for GIFFT EXPRESS INC and specifically for their yard. Does anyone know where they are parking? 27 SPLIT RAIL ROAD BRAMPTON is a house and not a yard.

If that is a bankruptcy trustee you are not picking anything up.

We always pick up in a Bankruptcy situation as the loans are secured. Unless we are otherwise informed, GIFFT EXPRESS INC is in receivership so may file for bankruptcy as a next step. We are in touch with the Trustee and can also retrieve assets from them.

OK did not know you are a finance or leasing company.
 
They are hiding them in the now also bankrupt World Wide Carriers yard in Bolton, ON.

124 Commercial Rd, Bolton, ON L7E 1K4
