Canada Post strike; Payment delivery

Why not try emailing your checks? No service fees.. no courier or postage fees... instant delivery to your vendors.
We do this for a few factoring companies and carriers. It is ideal.

When we suggest it as a form of payment to our suppliers/carriers, we are usually met with resistance or doubt for some reason.

Excuse my ignorance, do you print out and mobile deposit the cheque as if you had the hard copy?

I believe that is how they do it. Similar to depositing a cheque on a personal banking app.

Highlight is one carrier that accepts images of cheques. Factor Direct and IPS are a couple of factoring companies that accept them as well.

TRIUMPHPAY just reached out to us with a good news. They now have the capability to make the Electronic payments to Canadian banks in both currencies Canadian and USA. It was explained to me that not all the agents with Triumphpay have the knowledge about it, however, they assembled a specific team to deal with payments to Canada.

To get a setup for ACH send the email to [email protected] with Subject: Transfer to Canadian ACH, Attn: Team Titus.

Hope it helps

Try to pay by e-transfer and get "we are not set up for that". It is easier to set up than EFT yet some carriers will not do it. Why?

some banks actually have the option to pay directly to the account, through email transfers. You still plug in their transit# inst# and accnt# which you would do if you were wiring funds and the info is on the void cheque. This just gets processed through E-transfer that's the only difference. Not all the folks in "accounting" are accountants, I'ev come to know this after some time in the industry lol.

I helped open up a US bank account for a client. They can send/received ACH/Swift payments for free. Times have changed and we need to use the tech...

Personally, I would not consider that a confirmation of back to work on Monday... its a good sign, but not a guarantee.
