BVD Petroleum fraudulent charges

so far all of the fraudulent transactions that BVD has invoiced us for are transactions at Petro Pass locations in Ontario, none of which we use for truck fuelling in actual fact.
any specific locations? would be good to cross-reference with the others in the forum if those same locations are showing up on their statements as well. Something would be suspiciously off if it were the same locations. Fuel card fraud is pretty rampant these days.

So far, i noticed one transaction, in AB and trying to further investigate. truck is not even in the AB at the time of this transaction. So, it may not be only Ontario. since we don't run to Ontario regularly, only if we can't find back haul from North east. this unit did travel through Ontario on same trip when it happened in AB, early August.

On the same topic but a slightly different angle:
A friend of mine had his cell phone cloned and hundreds of thousands of dollars wired to an offshore account.... There is a class action lawsuit against ATT for allowing it in the USA.....
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES USE YOUR PHONE TO DO ANY ONLINE BAKING, or better any purchases whatsoever....

You may have to take a step back and look at this a little differently. We have had a similar issue but we require our drivers to get receipts. All of the transactions that were posted after PetroPass came back online showed up a bit late and at the date posted to BVD, not the pump date, so it makes sense that the truck was not there at the time is was posted on BVD.

Go on the BVD website and check your transaction. On the transaction it will say Petro Pass Pump date/time. Match that up with the card and the driver.

The only issue now is that they charged us the price on the transaction date, not the pump date, so there is a small discrepancy that needs to be adjusted and we're still waiting on it.

Jim - thats a separate unrelated issue to the one I described in the original post. We've been able to reconcile all of those to the invoices and are working with BVD for resolution. This is a completely separate issue.
The issue described in the original post is blatantly fraudulent transactions occurring after Petropass came on line-being charged on an account level for multiple transactions where the units in question were either sitting in our yard or in another state at the time of the transaction.

I just put it out just in case it was a misunderstanding. The situation that I described had me thinking fraud as well.

I hope you get a resolution to your issue.

Wasn't BVD around prior operating as Eagle truck stop or something? And they were shut down with their accounts seized as their paper trail was really un organized???

We also switched from BVD recently as we were hearing these rumours.

Truly is a shame as their company is well known for the 10M$ they made to the hospital with all of the owners family beside the Mayor.... Does not look good for the sikh community but then again the general public will never know of these scam/fraud issues.

As far as I know this was tied to the Petro system shutdown that lasted 2-3 weeks back in June. So once it ended BVD had to manually input all the fuel charges to the carriers and so most of the transaction dates/locations didn't line up like Jim said but the amounts should be correct.

Correct - two separate issues going on - the transaction/dates being posted later - which we have been able to reconcile, plus the sudden appearance of completely fraudulent transactions on our account.

A little off topic but definitely related: Our Petro Canada account was hacked and someone cloned cards and completed transactions out west with them. Petro Canada came back saying we were responsible for the transactions since the hack was through our email and not their site. Got the police involved and spoke to one location where there were multiple occurrences.

Two days ago we threatened legal action against Petro Canada and all disputed transaction will be refunded within 2 days. Now pleading with us to keep our account open for future use.

For the time being they're the ones suing carriers to "recover" the fraud charges. If anyone would like to chat on this issue shoot me a pm
Hello, We have charged around 20K back in 2023 Sep 1st week, till now they are refusing to dispute those transactions. I am communicating with them mostly every week with out any solution. Please let me know, if you have any advise on this matter. Greatly appreciated
