I saw that in the news the other day. In my research here's what I found out ...
Peoplenet sucks. Neither dispatch or the driver can easily figure out how many hours they have left. But, They are working on it ... just not quick enough for me. That's why we switched. Customer support is okay.
Omnitracs had some initial issues with reporting. They are well ahead of Peoplenet and are gaining ground on the rest of the field.
Isaac Instruments. Super driver friendly and really easy to use. Also, dispatch can log onto the driver's display if they are having trouble. Hardware is expensive though. Customer service is spectacular.
GeoTab. Every bit as good as Isaac, and when you add the Eleos App, it's stunning to say the least. However, you provide the hardware.
Telemetry options on all of the above are respectable with Isaac probably being the best since they were initially designed for Formula One race cars.
Back office support/integration. GeoTab/Eleos is probably the best. Followed closely by Issac. I have no experience with OmniTracs though.
Camera systems. You'd be crazy to purchase a system that does not have a camera system From experience, the Peoplenet Video Intelligence camera system is by far the best. Isaac is okay and getting better. There is strong rumour, maybe fact by now, that Peoplenet Video Intelligence is authorizing GeoTab to hook into their system. I am not familiar with Omnitracs.
Personally I wouldn't touch Keep Truckin with a 10 foot pole ... I think they are in the same pool as Roadlog, but that's just my opinion.
Just my 2 cents worth
