I know I might get some flack on this post but I want to be open and honest for what we are looking for!!

Looking for salespeople with a book of business that's transferable, - If you dont have a book we are not hiring JR salespeople, Sorry.
If you have your favorite dispatcher who wants to come with you, we are open for that too.

Two packages:
A:
Base Salary- Commision -Laptop- Desk top phone- paid cell- work from home 100% (will also set up a remote desk in the office).
B:
Straight commission -Laptop- Desk top phone- 100% guarantee no other companies will offer a large split as we do.
Your pay is based on your book business, we will also cover your DP salary.

Just my own opinion here about hiring salespeople who bring with them their own book of business. I don’t like it. Any customer that we provide service to should be the company’s customer, not the sales person. Sales people should be on the road or on the phone sourcing and developing new business. Sure, maintaining a good relationship with existing customers is important but certainly in the brokerage business, the dispatchers/customer service reps are the ones who deliver satisfaction (hopefully) on a daily basis. In addition, just as you are asking a salesperson to jump ship on his current employer and bring a portion of that employers customer base, who is to say they won’t do the same to you when a better offer comes along. No, in my mind it is the company who “has” the customers. The salesperson just made the original introduction and buys the odd lunch!

Customers choose they want to work with, I get both sides on this, I never want to lose a customer so we go the extra mile for them, but at the end of the day it's their choice and you can't force them to give you loads.

If they leave you and follow the rep there is nothing anyone can do.

Cheers,

BC
