Hazardous/Dangerous Goods?

Don't dabble in Haz-mat much so I am pretty rusty...like reefers (trailer ones) I avoid like the plague!

On occasion we'd like to move SMALL quantities of paint/primer/grease etc to our other plants. We're only talking a couple of 5-20 gallon pails of paint/primer, and some pails of grease @ 120Lbs/pail.

Is this classed as a true dangerous good and needing placards, driver training etc, or does this fall under the 500 Kg exemption? So many subsections referring to other subsections on the government pages.

Thanks,
Kevin.

So we won't need the placards for these, but will still require training (set up for next week) as well as more insurance.

Insurance companies hate surprises. Be sure to tell them what you are hauling, even if it is only occasionally and small amounts. Better to pay some additional premium now as opposed to having a claim denied in the future.
