Beware: Company is located in Quebec they short pay invoices & freight bills. Their accounts payables refers you to dispatch, their dispatch collects unanswered messages and when you are able to get hold of them they put you off. It's just flat out bad business period.

A Transforce company acts this way???
Yes sir any questions please feel free to call me at 1-888-634-5251. In fact their own accounts payable has sent their dispatch multiple emails requesting they respond and instead the dispatch has continued to avoid and not comply???

Modus Operandi

This is not a common practice amongts the Transforce group of companies.
I do not think that transforce management would condone this type of activity.
Try talking to management, someone higher in the echelons, certainly they will look into the problem quickly. This may be a rogue dispatcher that will surely be on his /her way out, if this type of problem persist.

Best of luck!

I appreciate the input, to my surprise according to their accounts payable this dispatcher even ignored their accounts payable request to get this resolved. I noticed on the backup this dispatcher who name is Jean tells the truckers on the invoice all invoices are to sent to him, this guy's games are uncalled for. We will be lodging a Load link complaint. Again I don't have to say a whole lot our position is in black and white and the chase is ridiculous. Anybody can call me because what comes out of my mouth is straight down the middle.

Update: Transport T.F.I. 16, S.E.C. / Golden International: Their dispatcher Jean Deschenes continues to avoid and remains evasive, here's a good one, their accounts payable is all of a sudden just a secretary as of today and the other fold to this in terms of UPPER management I've heard from none of them. It's not our responsibility to motivate them to step forward. Their accounts payable how doing business as a secretary has knowledge of the nonpayment issue and if their accounts payable is going to conceal suggest they must have some issues. The Load Link complaint is being done today.

Go for it!

Just because they are a member of the Transforce group does not mean that they cannot face finacial difficulties.
They may be in trouble.
I saw one of their flatbeds pulling empty wire roll drums back into MTl this afternoon, nice new Prostar. The equipment looks fine.

Golden is not a small outfit, I do not think two staff can run the operation.

It may be that since they are a flatbed operation and rely heavily on construction materials as their freight, they have shut down for the construction holidays which end this Sunday. They may have only a skeleton staff.

As to why the run around regarding your payememnt, let us know what it amounts to!

This is certainly un caracteristic of a Transforce member.

May I add I have nothing to do with them, I simply work with at least 10 of their divisions, and I thank heavens they do not have a centralized dispatch system!!

This is a tough one...I would think the opposite may be true because corporations like Transforce would typically try to migrate an acquired company's AR and AP systems onto their own platform within a few months if not weeks of an acquisition. Once on the same system, they are managed like all other subsidiaries in terms of how quickly suppliers are paid. In addition to payables, debt instruments often contain language that treats a default on any one debt as a default on all other debt. Bottom line, once a company is acquired, it acts like the rest of the organization with respect to payables and debt obligations.

Anybody else having trouble getting paid by other Transforce subsidiaries?

They have independant accounting at each company but I think they do all use the same accounting system. We do quite a few loads for Transforce and they do quite a lot for us, 1 of their Quebec companies did a load and we never recieved a bill from them well after 30 days they put us on some kind of alert that goes to all Transforce Companies for non payment. We had 3 other Transforce companies phone us immediately wondering what the problem was, which was good because we had no clue about this missing invoice and we called the Quebec company got them to send us the bill and we paid it that day. The other 3 companies then posted on the alert system how they never have any issues with us and all is well.
This is a long story but maybe if you have a good relationship with another Transforce company they may be able to help you out or point you in the right direction to resolve this.

Update: Transport T.F.I. 16, S.E.C. / Golden International: We continue to get the run around, I failed to mention in my last update the message left by their accounts payable she advised her new title is secretary opposed to accounts payable and she can not force their dispatcher Jean Deschenes to respond and get this balance resolved.

I called Transforce's Headquarters who put me in touch with Isabelle, she sounded squirrelly, the old rush me off the phone type. Isabelle was supposed to have a superior a guy called Martin Godbout call me back, have not heard from him at all.

Our info has been forwarded to the Load Link with respect to a nonpayment complaint. This load had nothing to do with construction, the contents was tires, this load was moved in good order.

Sincerely,

Where do you go after you communicate with the corporate office and you still getting the run around. I just updated on this account at 1:22pm today account payables changes her title to secretary, upper management does not return phone calls, as I stated accounts payable now a secretary and cannot force the dispatcher to resolved balance. Far crying out loud this is only $600.00. They obviously don't care.

Tom,
I would give the guy till Monday to respond and if he doesn't then get right back on Corporate. Be very profesional with head office and you will get your way, no yelling, no frustration remember "be nice".

I really can't stand dealing with Transforce.... I used to be a broker for Servall (a division of Kingsway way back when) before Transforce took over. By the time they took over, Servall was in bad shape and went belly up. Transforce then offered to transfer our trucks ( me and Dad's) to Kingsway, still as brokers, for LESS money than Servall was paying us.

Long story short, I cannot trust an empire that was started by firebombing pizza joints that refused to use Saputo's cheeze...........

Tom,

I have never yelled, I have been professional from point a to point b. Please - I invite you to call me and participate in a conference call and hear the nonsense that Corporate is telling me. I called Corporate again this afternoon, I had not heard from a supervisor - the secretary shielded me from anybody in charge, she said per them I must go back to Golden International and get them to resolve the matter. I responded "you make it sound so easy - why do you think I am calling you multiple times?". They are avoiding our position - it is black and white. Their correspondence from them have Transforce labeled on it, what is wrong with this company?

I speak from experience. What comes out of my mouth is straight down the middle. What is happening with this accounts payable is a nightmare. And trust me - Golden International aka Transforce realizes Transforce's Corporate Office does not care how they, the shipper or consignee is represented, so why should Golden International care as to whether the trucker - who actually pulled the load - is paid or not.

Straight forward companies do not allow this type of nonsense, they have forced me to go to the shipper, go figure! How much nicer could I have been with these guys, we are not dealing with kids, but if you cater to them as kids they are going to act like juveniles. Who ever wants to be a fly on the wall - start popping your popcorn and call me. I'll pay for the conference call.

Stéphane Beaudoin, You hit it right on the money. These guys ought to be ashamed of themselves. Between Corporate Office and Golden International - it's like asking yourself "would you rather notice live maggots in your Milkyway after you've eaten 2 big bites or find curly hairs at the bottom of your Caesar salad?"

We did not partnership with their problems, we want our money.

Patience

I certainly beleive you, and do not doubt what you are going through.

I am again almost certain that once the vacationning staff come back on monday your small issue will be dealt with expediantly.

From the change in staff position mentionned earlier it looks like they may be on skeleton staff due to the construction holiday's here in Quebec.

We have used Transforce/ TF1/ and other subsidiaries of this company, and have had no complaints yet.
