Curious .. This company sent an invoice late Friday afternoon, and an email this morning (Monday) looking for payment. Is this a normal practice?

When did they pick up the load? We have found most factoring companies go by date of pick up if not date of dispatch conformation being sent. They are probably emailing equifax right know saying you will not pay their invoice and destroying your credit on the link.

unfortunately you don't know these are assigned to factoring companies until you give someone the load, and an invoice shows up .. its too bad, because the carrier was doing a good job .. guess we wont be doing work with them again.

I wouldn't worry too much... very few factoring companies report to Dn B or Equifax. JD factors was one that used too and I always had issues with dates as my terms are 30 days from receipt. They messed up my D nB, so I called D & B and they called JD. All was fixed... for about 6 months , then same thing..... I think people realize you can't just go by Dnb or Equifax anymore... as I've never had issues getting credit

We have written on the bottom of our load sheets that we no longer accept invoices from Riveria Finance. Makes it easier not to have to deal with those people.

Our credit scores never look good but the funny thing is I can give you a 1000 carriers who would not hesitate to do a load for us, I gave up on those Credit Rating companies because if you do not give your AP to D&B then one company can make you look bad. When we look at a new company to do business with with ask for Carrier References and they have to be people we know and trust to give a reference because if they cannot come up with at least 1 you deal with then that should be a red flag.

We have right on the bottom of our load sheets "We no longer accept invoices from Riviera Finance. Same trouble chase them for a proof of delivery and they want paid almost before the load was picked up. They emailed us and said if we didn't pay right away they wouldn't be able to do business with us. I said no you have that wrong WE will no longer be able to do business with YOU. Never heard from them again!!!!

Nice! I too have had my problems with Factoring Companies, and Riveria Finance in particular. Same as mentioned below, they starting counting as soon as the load is delivered even if it takes them 3 weeks to get the invoice to you. And yes, Riviera Finance does report to Equifax, I caught them doing it myself on an invoice that was received after they said it was due!
