I would run home empty before taking anything that cheap.

I would run home empty before taking anything that cheap. Landstar would not haul it on their own truck for that $$$.

Here's the data

rate.jpg

It has been down that low and even lower as recent as 12 months ago. His stats are probably just out of date.

Dec 09 was just over 70 cents a mile for FB

I'm not Pablo, but I recognize that source anywhere....

It's truckloadrate.com. You can plug in any origin/destination and click on van or flat and it will give you this ... it's based on data logged by mostly the larger carriers in North America.

It's meant as the spot pricing, not for contract pricing.

I have never found their data to be even close. Tried the service and waisted my time and money. The data rates were very low and did not seem realistic at all. My 2 cents

There is a couple different pages on Facebook that are trucking that I follow and the Americans are bitching like crazy about Landstar and double brokering (their words as we Canadians know it is co-brokering). I have found their rates to be out of this world low for the last while as well as taking a looong time to pay.
