After booking a load with them, this was the actual truth behind the fluff……

Getting this type of email at 6:52 PM, this didn’t give us not much of an opportunity for to have found another driver. This was after they called me and committed to my load at 9 AM that morning…….

The drivers are running the trucking companies now, happens daily, in many cases dispatch has to call and ask their driver if he will take the load then call me back...

Ummm, yea ... that's kind of the way it works. I hope you are not under the impression this is a recent development !!!!

No, you're right, not a recent development. Back in the "old days" the drivers had to take the load we offered, to keep everyone happy we built trust with the drivers, do the NYC and next you get the Texas, worked great. Miss those days (AARDVARK EXPRESS) :)

Just an update for all on New Discovery lines. We had a load booked for them to load from our own dock in Winnipeg today to come to Saskatoon. They sent in Focus Transport instead, Focus showed our branch personel the load sheet. I spoke to Solomon about this and he said they are an asset based broker and was ok double brokering out load.
Our load sheet/confirmation clearly states that the load is intended to the carrier and brokering will result in non payment.
Again Solomon did it anyway, was very who cares when i spoke to him.

If you're going to try a load with them I'd ensure 100% with the shipper they confirm his truck shows.

They are now on our DNU list.

We recently had an interesting encounter with New Discoverylines, they're now on our DNU list. Notes from our dispatcher:

DRIVER WAS FOUR HRS LATE FOR PICKUP, SHOWED UP WEARING FLIP FLOPS AND REFUSED TO CHAIN/TARP LOAD (PER CUSTOMER). WE HAD A CRANE APPT FOR OFFLOAD AT 8AM ON TUESDAY JULY 10TH IN CHILLIWACK, WHICH WAS MADE VERY CLEAR. DRIVER DROPPED TRAILER IN THEIR YARD ON MONDAY AND WAS TO RETURN IN THE MORNING TO MOVE HIS TRAILER. HE FAILED TO INFORM ANYONE THAT HE WAS HAVING MECHANICAL ISSUES. CONSIGNEE HAD TO HIRE LOCAL DRIVER TO COME MOVE THIS TRAILER FOR OFFLOAD. 3.5HRS AND COUNTING, STILL NOT ON SITE...

This company makes it hard for a driver to do his job efficently, they limit fueling to 400 liters per day and once you hit this limit they cancel the fuel card for the day which means trucks are sitting on empty till morning causing condensation and risking frozen fuel lines. Also drivers cant perform when they have to shut down 3 hours early due to not being able to fuel till morning. Solomon is new to the trucking industry and has never been around trucks or the business ever, he views it as a get rich quick scheme

My guess is they have a real log book issue and this is his solution to fixing the problem. My biggest question for you Driver is why do you work for them? Every company is looking for good drivers should not be an issue finding a good job these days.

They don’t have a log book issue, they have a thinking the driver is going to sell fuel issue

Yes selling fuel is the right thinking of Solomon Nnah. He dont trust his own people. He is the one with so bad reputation due to his dealings with everyone. He is f*cking regulations and FMCSA. He is assuming Canada like his own country. This kind of person should be kicked out from business as such person ruins everyone.

This company is one of the worst companies in the Transportation Industry. They are black listed by many customers due to their bad service. Drivers are not paid on time and sometimes not even paid for layovers. We asked for service from them and they delivered our load a week late. Spoke to some companies based out of Saskatchewan after about them because Solomon wouldn't answer his cell or the company line they said to never deal with them. The owner Solomon worked in the bank for about 6 years and has no knowledge about transportation. He does not even know what the legal axle weights are in Canada or the USA. Go on google and read the reviews about them before giving them a shipment. They gave us a really tough time getting the freight delivered. No updates given and when they showed up to deliver the shipment the truck and trailer was REALLY dirty. They also tried back soliciting our customer by going behind our back and talking to the customer directly but the customer did not want to do anything with them and told us to tell them to stop calling or emailing. If you want to lose your customer please give them the shipment because they do an excellent job on providing bad service. This company should be shut down ASAP. I have attached pictures of how the truck showed up to our customer to deliver the freight. When we asked him why is the truck and trailer so dirty and he replied saying it is winter but its only November and load picked up from the South. We had multiple trucks load from the same location as them and they showed up on time to deliver with clean trucks and trailers. Driver was not even wearing any safety vest or steel shoes.
