We have been working with FLS ( Chicago office) for years. Never had an issue getting paid but we are on quick pay and 1.5% they charge, we always add in the pricing when take an order. 99% work is Costco loads. Can't speak for regular pay terms. we have been always paid in 5-7 days other than some odd times where waiting time needed to be approved but eventually get paid wait time as well. the person we deal is always understandable.

I would think so, wouldn't you? Especially in this day and age when we have scanned documents and EFT.
U.S. rule of law is 14 days (feel free to correct me if I am wrong, and it's 7 days).
You're paying 1.5% for the privilege of not extending terms.

I would want to get paid in 24 hours as well but we have to follow the terms we agreed at the time of signing contract.
They are the only one we have set up quick pay with and thought that was norm for quick pay. You learn some thing new every day.
May be we can re negotiate terms. love this site.

That 14 day ( or 7 day) US rule is long gone.

I think what you mean to say is it's still there, but no one pays attention to it.
Although, it must have had some effect somewhere down the line. My biggest customers pay in 14 days all on their own.

Nostalgia Time:
Remember back in the old days when you would drop a load at the food terminal then go upstairs and collect your pay ... in cash !!!
Back then there were poor truck drivers all over the place. Tax returns showed they could only feed their poor families once or twice a month, and they all shared the same pair of shoes ... but every one of them drove a brand new pick up truck and had a Mercedes in the garage ... LOL

The first and only time I saw a Canadian$1000.00 bill, was after delivering a load at the Ontario Food Terminal and being paid in cash. In today's terms, that almost sounds prehistoric!
