Cross Borders Expedite

On my DNU, Be careful. Booked expedite yesterday morning for next day 9 am delivery and they would pick up by 3 pm. Called to say they were having trouble unloading bonded freight at warehouse, could they pick in morning with another driver. They were told that freight had to deliver 9 am. Asked if I could wait till 7:30 pm for pick up with original driver. Told them no problem. They called back saying that driver couldn't deliver till 1 pm. Call back 2 minutes later saying driver wouldn't get unloaded and they could pick up following day and only deliver Monday.

Be very careful. Has been double brokering et transport shipments on the link, and will threaten to shoot you in the head if you dont take their freight. LoL

Mtltrans,

I was listening to your call with Albert. He's 100% correct, we have not had service issues ever with this company. I do find it strange that we are listed as a reference for a carrier that has done 1 load for us over the last 7 months though (we did higher volumes together in 2018). I'd prefer if we had an ongoing and regular service history in order to be a stronger reference.

There is another thread if you look for it where there are a few members arguing over a small domestic shipment. Not sure exactly how this carrier was involved, but they were mentioned.

Hi Mike, thank you. Yes, their other references came back favourable and I'm giving them an order. We worked with them about 5 years ago and make a habit of checking the service experience to make sure things are still good. Your feedback is well appreciated!

Hey,

Yep, business is increasing with them, 8 shipments in the preceeding 3 months. I still wish that they had asked us to be a reference. Oh, and no one has called asking about their service since mtltrans called in July. Anyway we get good service and none of the orders have hit my desk with issues.

on my DNU now....Truck broken down in QC last night but just let us know that she can't pick up in GTA...

I'll advise dispatch to keep a tight leash and monitor dealings closesly.

Just wanted to update everyone that we used these guys on a dedicated straight truck from GTA to Albany, NY. They picked up on time and delivered on time with good communication.

Update 2023
Recently added to my DNU list. Had an LTL shipment for 8 days, kept lying about ETA. Finally got to receiver, waited 45 min and left without telling anyone. Told them to go back and they are now threatening not to deliver unless we pay ahead of time. BAD business practices, just do yourself a favor and avoid at all costs.

Update: After calling us and screaming for payment in advance (never agreed to), they have held our skid hostage.

Crossborder Expedite has been around for years. I have personally used them many times in the past.
Disclaimer: I haven't used them since 2020.
It is definitely out of character they are threatening payment first.

I hope both companies can get this resolved and the customer gets their freight.

They are normally good but tends to charge round trip kinds of rates on one-way moves. Has been uncompetitive to use.

Hey loadify,

Don't lie we pick your skid on 4th this was long weekend . We went for dlv on tuesday receiver reject shipment because this skid should come as a frojen in reefer not in dry van my driver keep waiting there for 45 minutes . We were sending you emails & calling you on your office phone but you was not responding. After 2 hours you woke up & start threating dispatcher. I have all rights to ensure i will get paid for my work. Dont lie on this platform tell how u was behaving with our dispatcher & threating them not to pay & don't put frozen load in dry van. I have customer signature on BOL refused because load is not in frozen condition. In future don't threat dispatchers u will not pay. When we ask for reattempt chargers you want this for free . For 1 skid we cant wait for 4 hours.

If it was so urgent don't do this as LTL do as full load or expedite . Again this was long weekend we went for dlv on tuesday driver was doing other dlvs. Your receiver refuse to take load because they was expecting this skid in reefer .I have signed papers by him. Again we book this shipment as LTl not as a full load & it was a long weekend. When u threat us you are not going to pay us of course i will ask for payment first .

Driver left without telling anyone after 30 min. I was working on this with the warehouse and he left, even after I said I was working on it (see above emails)
I'm glad you mention LTL since industry standard is 1 hour wait time. We would have reimbursed you for detention after that but you didn't even give us the chance, that is why you are on our DNU list
