Double brokering on there new brokerage division. Just caught them red handed trying to double broker an Arc Best load. Arc Best was not to happy when I told him that Charger had called me on the load 15 minutes before he called. He confirmed Charger had called him on the load and said they would get back to him on it.

So, Charger (the carrier) calls a broker on a load and indicates that they want it and will call right back. Then Charger (the carrier), walks across the hall and gives that load to Charger (the freight broker) to cover. Pretty much a classic case of double brokering, leaving the original broker with the impression that Charger (the carrier) is hauling the freight.

Is anyone here actually taking freight from Charger, and if so how can you agree to the terms of the 23 page contract. I just went through the contract had to cross out almost 1/3 of this, Charger was able to accept all my changes but the one on Subregation which I would not agree to keep. I guess it's there loss. But why this high and mighty contract power tripping on a carrier when you want them to work with you not against you.

Deal with Charger quite often. Yes - '50 page' contracts seem to be the norm now. You do need to take the time and review each page to cover yourself. I crossed out alot as well, they accepted it with the changes and no issue since.

People need to pay close attention as so many have no clue what problems there signing up for should an issue arise. We either tell people go away and we still get the freight without signing there contract or we stroke out 90% of there contact thier choice. Neither work keep your freight

they just sold or have up for sale 25 2018 trucks with less than 200K on them, not sure about the growing part.

Just built a decent sized yard in Woodstock and they're working on the office building now. Should be up and running shortly i'd guess.
