All outbound and no inbound...

Has anyone noticed that there is NO inbound freight right now? I am a carrier and a broker.
I posted 11 skids from TX and got about 100 calls, then posted a full load to TX and got 3 calls. Usually the other way around. What is going on here?

Did you notice a couple of hurricanes that happened? They are getting big bucks running into Texas and FLA at the moment for supplies, got an email last week $4 US per mile inside the US to go to TX or FLA, I'm guessing rates to those states from Canada are pretty high at the moment also.

Also we are in produce season everyone is busy as hell outbound. In a month they will be begging for outbound again.

Uhmmm. Not much produce coming out of Florida right now. Probably not for this season. I'm wondering what effect this has had on citrus?

Huge effect on citrus. 125,000 acres of citrus groves in Florida alone are out of production ... either blown over or drowned.
