Anyone else having trouble getting payments from Nu-Era Logistics?

Nu-Era Logistics
690 Fountain Street North
Cambridge, Ontario

This is my first time working with them...

I asked their payment terms and was told 45 - 60 days... My invoice will be at 80 days tomorrow...

I was also told my payment was sent the week before last week... and our offices are only a couple hours drive from theirs.

Not sure if I should be patient, or resort to hounding...

Any info from others would be much appreciated!

I have one invoice at the 48 day mark. Just sent a note now. Will update when I find out more. We have dealt with them before. My notes show that they processed a cheque at the 60 day mark but then delayed it before sending it and I had to reach out a couple of times.

Our records show that up until the end of the 2016 Nu-Era was making payments consistently in 48 days on average. However, as of beginning of 2017 we are receivion the payments around 90 days mark. Hope it helps.

At 80 days I would be advising them they have one week before I called their customer...

What company are you with and I will look into it
It really doesn’t matter which company I am with, if some prick is not paying you after 80 days I would go after that account with full furvor. I would tell them as much and give them one more week then it’s on.

Thanks for all the interesting replies...

My apologies to Nu-Era Logistics... The information I have provided here is slightly inacurate, as my "awesome" A/R person seemed to have let the cheque stub sit for one full week on their desk, before finally entering it as paid...

The payment was received at exactly 71 days from invoice date... Still slow for my standards, but not as slow as I had reported originally in this thread.

It take a chicken with big eggs to correct themselves, good for you for posting the update. The truth shalt set you free!

Keep well,
Mike

That may very well be, but it still don't get you paid in a reasonable amount of time !!!

Jonny you should know better than to take on an account that is quoting you 45 to 60 days right from the get-go.

Sorry Pa... I won't let it happen again! haahaa...

Indeed... As mentioned I think the payment was slow, but felt bad that I had reported it being slower than it was... wanted to rectify the incorrect information...

And believe me, I would not knowingly sign up for slow payments... haahaa...

I was given the 45 to 60 days claim when I asked their A/P staff while seeking payment status... I will often ask a broker what their usual payment terms are, when they give me a payment date that is more than 60 days from invoice date... sometimes it shames them into paying a bit sooner, sometimes not... haahaaha...

For the record, my terms are posted as 30 days on my invoices... which of course I rarely see...
