We have an invoice at 80 days.

Calls go through to voicemail and the mailbox is full.

Anyone out there have recent experience with Dutchman?

So... My invoice is now at 100 days...

I have now called both customers that I did loads for through Dutchman to let them know that the carrier has not received payment.

After calling the second customer I received a call within minutes from Tom, who I believe is the owner. He was rather angry that I would call his customer after not getting paid for only 100 days... In his words, this is due on Friday... What are their payment terms, 4 months?

He was so upset about it, that he said he was going to come down here to my office. I told him to come by, and bring his chequebook!

cory in dispatch told us that tom deals with all payment related stuff, we were not paid for over 120 days until we called the customer and even then they wouldn't do anything they said " we pay tom in 15 days per invoice"

Tom didn't appear at our office on Thursday as promised unfortunately... So I went to his office on Friday, well, I attempted to...

The office for Dutchman Transport at 311 Montrose Street in Cambridge was empty, complete with a piece of plywood nailed to the office door... I asked a guy who was walking by in the same building, he said they abandoned ship over a month ago...

His registered residential address is of course, a post office box in a retail plaza...

I did however, manage to find him at his actual residence... He was like a deer in the headlights when I showed up on his doorstep in the morning! haahahaaa...

I told him he was being served, and headed back to my truck, where Bob Dylan's classic "Gotta Serve Somebody" was playing on the radio... no shittin... haahaaa...

He said something about his company being bankrupt and who cares, but then he offered me a cheque, for only one of the invoices, the oldest. I took it of course, but it's a computer-style cheque that you put through the printer, and he has just hastily scribbled on it... I'm taking it to my bank today, and we'll see how that goes...

I also served one of their customers on Friday, and will be visiting the other one this week.

Good luck to others collecting...
